Itinerary: 

From Bayonne:

Follow the A63 towards St Sébastien then take exit 3: Saint-Jean-de-Luz-Nord towards Saint-Jean-de-Luz-Nord/Guéthary/Ascain.

Follow the D307 to St-Pée-sur-Nivelle then the D3 and the D306 after Sare. About 5 km after the village turn left at the sign indicating the caves of Sare. Take the 5th road on the right, just after the hamlet of Garbala then continue on the track for 500 m. Park on the esplanade on the right after a sheepfold, without obstructing access to the fields.

From St-Jean-Pied-de-Port: 

Take the D918 in the direction of St-Martin-d’Arrossa. Continue on the same road and pass Bidarray and Louhossoa. At the roundabout before Cambo-les-bains, go straight on towards Bayonne (D932) then Espelette/Grottes de Sare (D918). Pass Espelette and continue on the D20/D305 then turn right towards Sare. After the village continue on the D306 direction Vera. Continue on this road following the signs “Grottes de Sare”. You will turn left at some point to take a smaller road. Take the 5th right, just after the hamlet of Garbala, then continue on the track for 500 m. Park on the esplanade on the right after a sheepfold, without obstructing access to the fields.
